The Client

All Out is a global movement for love and equality. They’re mobilizing thousands of people to build a world where no person will have to sacrifice their family or freedom, safety or dignity, because of who they are or who they love

The Challenge

All Out wanted to create a powerful and emotive video that drew attention to an Olympic Host nation’s homophobic laws and culture. As a charity, they had to do this with a limited budget and so wanted to create something that looked and felt like the Olympics without the potential hire costs that could entail and we were engaged to help create this impression in Post-Production.

Our Approach

By using a combination of close ups and Post-Production altered wide shots, we created the impression of an Olympic ice rink. To achieve this, we added in the Olympic logo, atmospheric beams of light and sound design to create the impression of scale, while at the same time telling the personal story of two people.

The Results

Working with MHF is always a pleasure and on this occasion we were particularly impressed with their ingenuity and creativity in Post-Production. They really helped contribute ideas that allows us to create a video that we feel has a production value far higher than the budget we were working with.
