Gray's Inn

The Client

Gray’s Inn is one of the four Inns of Court which have the exclusive right to call men and women to the Bar of England and Wales. The Inn exists to support, educate and develop its student barrister members and to provide continuing professional development to its qualified barrister members in accordance with its historic traditions.

The Challenge

Our client won the job to rebrand Gray’s Inn and bring it’s brand into the 21st century whilst still honouring and retaining it’s 600 year tradition. Working with them, the challenge was to create video and photography content which reflected and communicated this to a new generation of barristers.

Our Approach

With our agency partners we strategised a suite of video content which would give potential members of Gray’s an insight into what Gray’s Inn does, what it means to be a member of Gray’s and why Gray’s Inn might be a good fit for them.

We wanted to create video which humanised The Inn, so we worked with Gray’s to get access to a wide variety of their members, from post-grad students all the way up to The President of The Supreme Court, Lady Hale.

With these contributors we created an emotive brand video, a video about why members chose Gray’s Inn, two videos on the all-important topic of scholarships, a video on what it means to be a member at Gray’s and nine “Meet Our Members” short videos featuring individuals.

The Results

MHF have been fantastic to work with, always offering solutions and generally being helpful. All the content, both video and photography, has been incredibly well received and we're excited to work together again in the future.
