Video Production Service – FAQs
This can be difficult to determine as it is based on a number of variables such as what is involved in the shoot, how long the video is, music licensing etc. As a starting point, our entry level pricing for a 1 minute video created using only stock footage, royalty-free music and simple animation overlays starts at £2,500 + VAT.
Before you can decide on the type of video to produce, you need to think about what you want to achieve with it, as well as who your buyer persona is, what their pain points are, and where they hang out online.
Once you understand these two elements you can align your video content plan to the buyer’s journey. This is typically divided into three elements: awareness, consideration and decision.
If you have produced video content in the past, we recommend auditing it and mapping it out into the various stages of the buyer’s journey – this will help you spot potential gaps where you can prioritise new content opportunities.
Your aim is to produce video content that stands out at every stage of the customer journey:
Awareness stage – At the initial stage your video content needs to introduce the prospect to your brand, your story, what you stand for and what you offer. Brand story videos, employee videos, glossy promo videos and videos showcasing your values are all popular forms of video content that you could produce at this stage.
Consideration stage – At this stage of the buyer journey, you want to produce video content that showcases how your product helps solve their problem and why it is the best solution for them. ‘How to’ videos, brand ambassador videos and FAQs are all good forms of video content at this stage.
Decision stage – This stage is all about building trust in the eyes of the prospect. Videos that work well are customer testimonials, case studies or product videos.
No. We are happy to come to you and often travel across the UK, Europe and even America. We like to shoot video content that feels authentic to you and your business, so shooting at your premises enables us to bring to life your personality and surroundings. However, if you want to come to our professional studio based in sunny Luton, we’d be more than happy to welcome you to our humble abode.
Absolutely. We will bring full professional camera crew and lighting to your venue, office, store or event. It’s important that the video feels authentic to your brand, and one of the easiest ways to achieve this is to film where you feel comfortable. In this way, we’ll bring your business personality and character to life. What better way to do this than be interviewed over a cup of tea in your favourite mug!
How long is a piece of string? It all depends on the length of the video and the complexity of the animation. But to give you a ballpark figure, our average 2D animation is around 60 seconds and takes roughly three weeks to produce. Variables such as length of animation, style, storyboarding and how quickly we receive your feedback all have an effect on when your new animation is delivered.
The average turnaround time, with three rounds of amends, can take around two weeks, depending on how quickly we receive client feedback. However, we have produced super quick turnaround highlights videos in just six hours!
Expenses are an additional cost to the quoted price. We always do our utmost to be cost-conscious and environmentally-friendly with how we travel. We promise we won’t be ordering fresh lobster on room service!
If we need to source any extra equipment for your video, we will do this for you. Everything will be included in a quote for you to review prior to any work taking place.
Each version of your video is uploaded to a secure video platform on vimeo.com. Here you will be able to view your video and leave detailed feedback.
Each video is allocated three rounds of amends. We encourage our clients to gather all feedback from all interested stakeholders before leaving it on Vimeo for us to action. After the final round of amends has been done, there will be an additional £500 cost “per round” of amends.
Copyright law states that the production company owns the work it produces. Usually we do not automatically assign copyright of the raw footage unless the client specifically stipulates it beforehand.
When hiring a video production company, raw footage is not included. This is one of the large differences between hiring a production company and hiring a freelance shooter… freelance camera operators are hired JUST for the shooting, so of course raw footage is included. But when you hire a production company, the assumption is that you’re hiring them to create a final product; that final product is what the client is paying for, not the raw footage.
As a video production company (and not freelance shooters) our contracts do not include raw footage. Our clients hire us for a final product, and what we create along the way outside of that final product is not included in the package price.
We are not selling just our camera crews and their time, we’re selling a process and a final product. Everything we do is partnering with our clients in order to create a video that goes above and beyond their goals.
Yes, we are able to amend and edit photos. We have some very talented photographers and editors who are more than happy to edit your photos for you.
One of the great benefits of doing video production is that we frequently travel to some amazing locations abroad. We will factor in flights and hotels at the prices they are on the day the quote is sent. We charge half days for travelling to and from locations. Any special requirements such as car hire, equipment hire and permits are discussed at the time of quoting.
We provide subtitles in all languages. There is a standard flat fee of £500 per video in English. Other languages are POA.
