Recruitment video production that captures the culture and people behind the Huws Gray brand.
Huws Gray is the UK’s largest independent builders’ merchant, supplying building materials to trade and DIY customers from over 100 locations across the UK. The business is going through a period of expansion and had recently acquired the traditional GB merchanting businesses of Grafton Group plc adding 3500 colleagues and in excess of 200 branches to the group.
They needed a corporate video that would educate and inform all new colleagues on the company culture, people and vision making them feel proud to be a part of a growing company and show them how to thrive in this new culture.
We filmed and interviewed various employees working across 4 locations, retail, yard, head office and the showroom. We wanted to make the viewer feel what it was like to work in these various environments so used enhanced sound design to capture the variety of noises in each location.
Each culture is defined by its people so it was important for the video production to capture these candid interactions and show the humans behind the brand giving the viewer a sense of the camraderie and relaxed spirit which is an important element of their culture.
Beyond the hero video we made 2 short social media videos and provided high resolution stills for the marketing team to use on their careers website.
