Employer Brand & Recruitment Case Study

Evelyn Partners Employer Brand & EVP Video

We partnered with Evelyn Partners to bring its newly defined company values and Employer Value Proposition to life through authentic employee stories. Filmed across two days in London with 12 people from associates to senior leaders, the film humanises the culture through real voices and natural workplace moments, reflecting our approach as a recruitment video production agency .

The Brief

The values were defined. They needed to feel real.

Evelyn Partners had invested significantly in redefining the values that would shape its culture and employer brand. The strategy was in place. The challenge was bringing it to life.

It had been a substantial internal project, developed with the support of external consultants, and Evelyn Partners had already commissioned a video from another agency to communicate the new direction.

That first film did not secure approval from the senior leadership board, so the team came to MHF Creative looking for a fresh way to tell the story.

The new brief was less about explaining a set of corporate values and more about showing what those values looked and felt like through the people working at Evelyn Partners.

The aim was to create an authentic employer brand video that could humanise the business, give the values a recognisable personality and help employees and prospective talent connect with the culture behind them.

Business Objective
Give Evelyn Partners a film senior leadership could confidently stand behind.
Employer Brand
Turn newly defined company values into something employees and prospective talent could genuinely connect with.
Human Objective
Put real people at the centre of the story rather than presenting the values as abstract corporate statements.

The EVP Film

Put the values on screen. Put the people at the centre.

The finished employer brand film gives Evelyn Partners’ people the space to make its new values feel genuine, recognisable and human.

Rather than relying on corporate statements or scripted messaging, the film uses employee voices, personality and workplace moments to show the culture behind the Employer Value Proposition.

The result is an employer brand and recruitment video designed to help prospective talent understand not only what Evelyn Partners values, but what working there can actually feel like.

The Creative Idea

Let employees demonstrate the culture through their own experiences instead of asking corporate language to do all the work.

The Creative Process

Twelve people. One culture, told through them.

The values couldn't simply be explained. They needed to come through in the people already living them.

Across a two-day shoot at Evelyn Partners' London office, we interviewed 12 team members representing different levels of the organisation — from directors and partners through to associates.

Rather than treating each contributor as a representative of a job title, we focused on personality, perspective and individual experience. The aim was for prospective employees to meet the people behind Evelyn Partners, not simply hear another corporate explanation of its values.

Beyond the Interview

Culture often appears in the moments between the answers.

Alongside the interviews, we filmed people working, talking and interacting around the office. These more observational moments added energy to the film and gave the audience a better sense of the environment behind the EVP.

For employer brand video production , this context matters. A contributor can tell you about a culture, but seeing the people, relationships and everyday environment helps make that story believable.

01

Representation

Hear from across the organisation

Twelve contributors brought different perspectives to the film, from directors and partners through to associates, helping the EVP feel relevant across the business.

02

Personality

Show people, not job titles

The interviews focused on the individuals themselves, allowing personality and lived experience to bring greater warmth to the employer brand story.

03

Authenticity

Capture the spaces between interviews

Natural workplace footage brought movement, interaction and a sense of the real Evelyn Partners environment around the employee voices.

Campaign Value

The values already existed. The film gave them a human voice.

A strong EVP only becomes useful when people can understand what it means beyond the words themselves.

Evelyn Partners had already invested considerable time and strategic thinking into defining its values. The role of the film was to turn that work into something people could see, hear and connect with.

By putting employees at the centre, the story moves away from an organisation telling prospective talent what its culture is like. Instead, viewers hear from the people experiencing that culture themselves.

That makes the film valuable as both an employer brand asset and a piece of recruitment video content — helping Evelyn Partners communicate its culture, personality and values in a way that feels more credible than corporate messaging alone.

01

Talent Attraction

Give candidates a window into the culture

Real employees give prospective talent a more relatable sense of the personalities, perspectives and working environment behind Evelyn Partners.

02

Employer Brand

Make abstract values easier to believe

Instead of presenting the EVP as a collection of statements, the film connects those ideas to real people and lived experiences across the organisation.

03

Brand Consistency

Connect culture with the wider brand

The film creates a people-led expression of Evelyn Partners' values that can sit alongside the wider brand and recruitment story rather than feeling like a separate HR message.

The Strategic Role

Turn an Employer Value Proposition from something people read into something they can recognise in the people, personalities and culture of the organisation.

For financial services businesses, that human layer can be particularly important when employer brands need to communicate culture alongside expertise and credibility. Explore our financial services video production work.

FAQs

Employer brand video. Questions answered.

More about the Evelyn Partners EVP film, our approach to employee storytelling and how employer brand video can support recruitment and talent attraction.

What was the brief for the Evelyn Partners employer brand video?

Evelyn Partners had recently undertaken a significant project to redefine its company values and Employer Value Proposition. The business wanted a film that could bring those ideas to life through its people rather than simply presenting the values as corporate statements.

MHF Creative was brought in to develop a more human, personality-led approach that could communicate the culture behind the new EVP.

Why did Evelyn Partners commission a new EVP video?

Evelyn Partners had previously commissioned a film to communicate its newly defined values, but the initial creative direction did not secure approval from the senior leadership board.

The team therefore wanted a fresh approach that felt more representative of the people within the organisation and gave the values greater warmth, personality and authenticity.

Who appeared in the Evelyn Partners recruitment video?

The film featured 12 Evelyn Partners employees from different levels of the organisation, including directors, partners and associates.

Using a range of contributors helped the employer brand story feel representative of the wider business rather than relying solely on senior leadership voices.

Where was the Evelyn Partners employer brand video filmed?

The project was filmed across two days at Evelyn Partners' London office.

Filming within the real workplace allowed us to combine employee interviews with observational footage of people working, talking and interacting in their normal environment.

Why use real employees in an employer brand video?

Real employees can give prospective candidates a much more tangible understanding of an organisation's culture than corporate messaging alone.

For Evelyn Partners, the contributors brought individual personalities, experiences and perspectives to the EVP, helping the values feel connected to real people rather than abstract statements.

What is the difference between an EVP video and a recruitment video?

An EVP video focuses specifically on an organisation's Employer Value Proposition: the culture, values, experience and reasons someone might choose to build their career there.

Recruitment video is a broader category and can include EVP films, employee stories, role-specific recruitment content, graduate recruitment films and other video designed to help attract and engage talent.

How can employer brand video support recruitment?

Employer brand video can help candidates understand the people, culture and working environment behind a company before they apply or enter the recruitment process.

Working with a recruitment video production agency also allows the filming to be planned around a wider content strategy, creating material that can support careers pages, social media, recruitment campaigns and individual roles.

What should a recruitment video production agency focus on when interviewing employees?

The priority should be helping employees feel comfortable enough to speak naturally rather than trying to extract perfectly rehearsed statements.

We focus on the person behind the job title: their experiences, personality and perspective. Creating a relaxed interview environment and combining those conversations with real workplace footage can produce a much more believable representation of company culture.
