Live action SaaS storytelling
We built the film around a relatable marketing persona, giving the audience a human route into Awin’s software platform and the problems it helps solve.
SaaS Brand Video Case Study
From affiliate network to software platform.
We combined live action, strategic scripting and animated product UI to create a SaaS brand film that made Awin’s platform easier to understand and supported its positioning in the US market.
The Brief
As Awin expanded its presence in the US following the acquisition of ShareASale, it needed to present the business as a modern, product-led SaaS platform.
The challenge was to move beyond Awin’s established reputation as an affiliate network and make the platform experience itself more visible to US marketers.
The film needed to combine a relatable human story with animated software UI, communicating the value of the platform without becoming a conventional product demonstration. It also needed to feel premium enough to support paid media, sales conversations, events and wider brand activity.
Watch the Film
A persona-led campaign film created to make Awin’s platform more visible, relevant and easier to understand.
The film combines live action, strategic scripting and animated SaaS UI within the working day of a US marketer. Rather than pausing for a conventional product demonstration, the interface becomes part of the story.
As a creative video agency , we developed the narrative, production and interface animation as one connected piece. It is a strong example of our brand video production for B2B software brands.
Our Approach
Awin did not need another conventional software demo. It needed a brand film that could change perception while making the product easier to understand.
We created a persona led story around a US digital marketer, then integrated animated Awin UI directly into the live action narrative. The platform became part of her working day rather than a separate technical explanation.
This connected our brand video production approach with clear product storytelling, helping viewers understand both what Awin offered and how the business wanted to be perceived.
We built the film around a relatable marketing persona, giving the audience a human route into Awin’s software platform and the problems it helps solve.
Search, filtering and campaign workflows were recreated through interface animation, allowing viewers to experience the platform without interrupting the pace of the film.
The creative approach balanced brand positioning with product understanding, creating a flexible campaign asset for paid media, events, sales conversations and digital channels.
From Animatic to Final Film
The Awin SaaS brand film depended on performance, camera movement and animated product UI working together as one story.
Before filming, we created a detailed animatic to test the narrative, map the timing of each scene and establish where the platform interactions would appear. It gave Awin, the production crew and the animation team a shared blueprint before the cameras arrived.
This production overview shows how those early creative decisions carried through into the finished film, from performance and framing to transitions and animated software UI.
Testing the narrative flow and timing before filming began.
Planning camera positions and the movement between live-action scenes.
Establishing exactly where software interactions would enter the story.
Animated Product UI
The product experience needed to feel like part of the film, not a separate software demonstration.
We rebuilt and animated Awin’s platform interface from product designs, allowing search, filtering and campaign workflows to appear naturally within the marketer’s working day.
Each interaction was simplified, composed and timed around the narrative. This made the software easier to follow while keeping the energy and visual flow of the live-action product marketing video intact.
Campaign Value
The film needed to do more than introduce Awin’s software. It needed to help audiences understand how the business itself was evolving.
By combining a human brand story with animated product UI, we created a central campaign asset that could communicate Awin’s positioning and platform experience at the same time.
The result was a flexible SaaS brand film designed to work across brand, marketing, product and sales activity.
