The Brief

A people-first rebrand needed real people.

Mixology Digital needed a fast, distinctive way to launch its new identity and show that the business itself was changing with it.

A stock-led animated film could have communicated the new visual language, but it would have missed something fundamental to the brand: the people behind the business.

We recommended putting the real Mixology team on screen and combining that footage with bold typography, graphic animation and elements from the new brand system. The challenge was to bring all of those elements together in a focused 60-second film without making the piece feel like a conventional corporate rebrand announcement.

The result needed to sit somewhere between brand video production and animation: human enough to reflect the business, but visually confident enough to introduce a completely new identity.

The Rebrand Film

Real people. A new visual identity.

The film brings Mixology Digital’s new brand language to life through the people already inside the business.

Live-action footage of the team was combined with graphic shapes, animated typography and elements from the new identity, giving the 60-second film a clear connection between the brand on screen and the company behind it.

Rather than becoming a traditional corporate brand announcement, the edit was built around pace, movement and visual transitions, creating a concise rebrand film designed to introduce the new Mixology Digital with energy.

01

Use the real team

Real employees gave the film a direct connection to Mixology’s people-first positioning rather than relying on anonymous stock footage.

02

Animate the identity

Typography, graphic shapes and visual brand assets were integrated with the live-action footage so the new identity became part of the storytelling.

03

Keep it moving

A tight 60-second structure kept the film energetic and focused, giving the rebrand a concise visual introduction rather than a lengthy explanation.

Our Approach

Film the people. Build the brand around them.

We treated the live-action filming and animation as one creative system rather than two separate stages of production.

A small crew of one producer and one Director of Photography filmed at Mixology Digital’s London Bridge office, using the real team and working environment as the raw material for the brand film.

The footage was captured with the final animation in mind: movement, composition and human interactions gave us moments that could be framed, masked and combined with typography, graphic shapes and elements from Mixology’s new visual identity.

That approach allowed one filming day to support both this animated brand video and the longer CEO film, creating two very different pieces of communication from the same production.

Start with the real team

Instead of building the film around stock imagery, we captured Mixology’s own people and office so the new identity remained connected to the business behind it.

Shoot for the animation

Composition and movement were considered during filming so live action could transition naturally into animated typography, shapes and other parts of the new brand system.

Make one shoot work twice

The same London Bridge filming day generated the footage for the 60-second rebrand film while also supporting a more detailed CEO-led story about the company’s new direction.

Brand in Motion

The identity wasn’t just shown. It moved.

Mixology’s new typography, graphic language and real team footage were designed to work together as one moving brand system.

We used kinetic text in the new brand typefaces alongside graphic shapes, transitions and live-action footage, allowing the visual identity to become part of the pace and personality of the film.

Rather than adding animation on top of a finished edit, the motion language was built into the storytelling. Typography could take over the frame, interact with footage and carry key messages before transitioning back into the real people behind the business.

It is an approach that sits at the intersection of brand video production and animation — using motion not simply as decoration, but as a way to make a new identity feel alive.

Campaign Value

Explain the change. Make the difference visible.

The rebrand film had two important jobs: make the reason for change clear, and show audiences the human business behind the new identity.

Mixology chose not to hide behind vague corporate language. The story could acknowledge the legal challenge that contributed to the rebrand while also explaining what the change represented for the business going forward.

At the same time, using Mixology’s real people gave the new brand a personality from day one. That mattered in a demand-generation category where businesses can often look and sound interchangeable.

By combining that openness with a distinctive mix of live action, kinetic typography and animation, the rebrand video could communicate both why Mixology was changing and what made the new business feel different.

Clarity

Explain the rebrand honestly

Gave Mixology a way to communicate why the business was changing, including being open about the legal challenge behind the rebrand rather than disguising it behind generic launch language.

Humanity

Put the people into the brand

Using Mixology’s real team made the relaunch feel connected to an actual business and culture, rather than presenting the new identity through anonymous stock footage.

Differentiation

Look different in the category

Live action, kinetic typography and bold brand animation gave the launch a distinctive visual language while reinforcing Mixology’s more human positioning within the demand-generation market.

The strategic role

Make the reason for change clear while showing why the business behind the new name feels different.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about the Mixology rebrand video production.

How a small London filming crew, real people, animation and sound design came together to create the 60-second brand relaunch film.

The project combined live-action brand video production with kinetic typography, graphic animation and sound design to turn Mixology Digital’s new identity into a moving brand experience.

01 What was the purpose of the Mixology Digital rebrand video?

The 60-second film was created to introduce Mixology Digital’s new identity while also explaining the change behind it. The creative needed to communicate the rebrand clearly, show the human side of the business and give Mixology a distinctive way to present itself within the demand-generation market.

02 Where was the Mixology rebrand video filmed?

The live-action footage was captured during a one-day shoot at a co-working office in London Bridge. The location gave us a professional working environment in which to film Mixology’s real people and create the human footage that would later be integrated with the animated brand identity.

03 How large was the video production crew?

The filming crew was deliberately compact: one producer and one Director of Photography. This gave the production a small footprint while still providing the creative and technical control needed to capture the team, workplace footage and material required for the final brand film.

04 Why did MHF Creative film real people instead of using stock footage?

Mixology wanted the new brand to feel human and distinctive. Using its real people gave the film a direct connection to the business behind the identity and helped avoid the more anonymous feel that stock footage could have created.

The live-action material also gave the animation something real to interact with, allowing typography, graphic shapes and brand elements to move around genuine people and moments.

05 How was the live-action footage turned into an animated brand video?

Once filming was complete, the live-action material was edited into the structure and pace of the film. The project then moved into animation, where Mixology’s typography, graphic forms and elements of the new visual identity were integrated into the edit.

This meant the animation was built around the live-action story rather than simply being placed over finished footage.

06 What role did sound design play in the rebrand video?

Sound design was added during post-production after the edit and animation had taken shape. It helped reinforce transitions, movement and kinetic typography, giving the visual changes more impact and helping the 60-second film maintain its pace and energy.

07 Can live action and animation be combined in a corporate brand video?

Yes. Combining live action with animation can be particularly effective for rebrands because the film can show the real people behind a business while simultaneously introducing new typography, colours, graphic systems and other parts of the visual identity.

For Mixology, the two approaches were designed together so the animation became part of the storytelling rather than a separate decorative layer.
